After lunch, I had about 2 hours that I could not remember well. I later read emails that I did not remember writing . I had eaten lunch 12 noon.. usual, sandwich, apple , brownie and from 1-3 P.M. I don t remember what I did . When I read the emails, they were perfect grammar, spelling, etc. What could this be?
Hello welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.
Sudden memory loss can be caused by developing thyroid problems, vitamin B12 deficiency, lack of sleep, stress & anxiety, depression, emotional problems & certain medications(tranquilizers, blood pressure drugs, etc). Decrease in the amount of oxygen supply to the brain or increase in the supply of carbon dioxide can also result in sudden development of cognitive impairment, leading to dementia & if neglected it may complicate to Alzheimer's disease. Get a general examination & all investigations done to check your health status, get treated at the earliest. In the meantime take vitamin B12 & omega 3 fatty acids in your diet.
Hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
