What Causes Sudden Muscle And Joint Pain From The Neck To The Knees?

Age 80 white male. I do have slight arthritis. But I had a sudden onset of extreme pain in my muscles and joints from my neck to my knees. It is pain that is almost debilitating. It came out of nowhere and has lasted for several days. It is as if I went on an exercise frenzy...but I didn t. Any idea as to what may be causing this?

Any history of taking any pills for cholesterol?? Have you been doing regular exercise? Might be there is no pathology for that.
