Hi,

There are certain common causes for nose bleeding like dry nasal membranes, allergies, Sinusitis, nose picking, traumatic injuries to the nose, infection etc. As it has already stopped you need not worry.

However, you also need to keep a watch and if at all there are frequent and recurring episodes of nose bleeding you should get it checked.

For stopping bleeding if at all it happens again you can bend forwards and gently pinch your nostrils and keep it that way for 5 to 10 minutes. During this time continue to breathe through the nose.

Also keeping a piece of onion under the nose and breathing through it can help in ceasing bleeding. Keep well hydrated and do not overuse any type of nasal sprays.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
