What Causes Sudden Nausea?

My doorbell rang when I was in a sound sleep. I jumped up and went down a flight of stairs to answer door. After walking back up flight of stairs, I was feeling nauseated. I immediately sat down on some footstools & put my head down, taking some deep breaths. Within about 5 minutes I was feeling a lot better. I was recently dx with Bipolar 2 and am sedentary. What could explain nausea?

Hello,

We don't know what you are getting treated for your bipolar disorder. If any tablets you are taking then it could be having an effect. But you are telling typical symptoms of a migraine where the sound will provoke migraine attack maybe this is the earliest sign of impending migraine.

If this persists for two or more times, kindly visit a neurologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
