What Causes Sudden Numbness In Little Toe?

Hello, My little toe on my left foot has gone numb since Friday. I have done nothing different. No new shoes or anything like that. Diabetes DOES NOT run in my family either and as far as I know I do not have it. I just don t know what is going on with my toe.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

- In my view it can be following an injury to toe(which went un noticed). Hot pack, massage with ,exercises under hot water.

Foot exercises & over the counter anti inflammatory medicines like Ibuprofen&vit.B12 pills taken orally , would help. If no relief in a week

-It can be tarsal tunnel syndrome of the foot. Please consult a surgeon for physical examination, investigations as per need &specific treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
