What Causes Sudden Onset Of Chest Pain While Sleeping?

Doctor my grand ma was sleeping and she suddenly woke up and said that she is having a sudden pain in her chest and I have asked her to take some long breaths and cough plus given her a sorbitrate since she had an attack earlier . I just checked the bp after giving the first aids to her and it s 105 bpm . Can u tell me wether is it due to low Bp or stress due to tension or work or any other reason ? At present now is she is fine after first aids.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concerns
Sudden pain in chest could be due to angina/myocardial infarction, panic attack/stress, gastritis/GERD.
I would suggest to consult your physician and undergo examination, chest x-ray, ECG scan, blood test like CK, CK-MB, troponin.
If test will come negative then nothing to worry.
Avoid stress, take healthy diet, regular exercise.
Tablet ranitidine and syrup antacid will help
Other specific treatment depend on cause.
Hope this may help you
Best regards
