What Causes Sudden Onset Of Dizziness?

My daughter has had a sudden case of being dizzy. It s worse if she moves her head suddenly, her ears feel stopped up, and if she closes her eyes the room spins. Her blood pressure (our home monitor) reads 109/58 and her pulse is 66. She is 28 years old, a non smoker, 5 7 tall and weighs about 150. Her job is a desk job at work. No meds are currently taken and she is in excellent health.

Hi Dear ,

As per your query your daughter has sudden onset of dizziness . Well there can be many reasons for vertigo like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo , Vertigo may also be caused by inflammation within the inner ear sometimes due to infection , meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma , sinusitis , stress , anxiety and multiple sclerosis . In your case if it happen frequently then you need to get medical assistance .I suggest you to consult with ENT specialist for proper checkup so that there will not be any further complication . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , MRI , blood test , audiometery test , rotatory chair test and ECG to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may remove wax from ears , may prescribe ant emetic drug , sedatives , antibiotics (amoxicillin ) and anti allergic . For now avoid bending foreword , take steam , drink ginger green tea thrice a day and do light exercises daily .
