What Causes Sudden Onset Of Intense Pain In Back After Playing Basketball?

I was playing basketball and suddenly my back hurt termendously and I had to lay down. even laying down does not relieve the pain. I have a shooting pain in my back sort of going down to my legs but not paralyzing as I can walk when I do stand up. But doing so causes extreme pain. What do i do?

It seems to be a muscular pain due to spasm. Apply Arnica gel cream topically, And Capsaicin cream. gake Ibuprofen800mg twice daily by mouth. Apply heat padding. Do rest and stop physical activity until you get well. You will be fine soon.
