What Causes Sudden Pain In Body And Fever While Having Diabetes?

This is the 3rd day I woke up w/ BAD body aches eveywhere. It's hard to get out of bed & move. It's in my muscles, legs, arms, hands, all over, plus a fever. I am 48 yrs. old & diabetic. I've been taking IB's, but it seems to be getting worse. I was fighting a cold last week, but other than feeling tired now, I don't really have any other symptoms. What do you think?
