What Causes Sudden Pain In Jaw Radiating Towards Left Side Of Chest?
I am sitting at my computer, not overexerting myself or exercising...just sitting. My jaw and all around my heart began hurting, enough that it scared me to unlock my front door in case I had to dial 911. I had a thought to drink water, which I did. The pain went away after 2 cups of water. Can you tell me what this is? Thank you.
As per your query you have symptoms of sudden pain in jaw radiating towards left side of chest so probable chances are you have temporomandibular joint problem, it could be due to clenching of jaws or grinding of teeth and stress is one of the major factor for your condition. But the symptoms can also occur due to condition like angina . I would suggest you to visit dentist once and get it examined properly. If it is related to joint, then mouth exercises such as TENS physical therapy is very effective. Take muscle relaxants for this. Consult cardiologist also to rule out serious heart condition .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
