What Causes Sudden Pain In The Arm And Upper Side Of The Back?

I am a 45 year-old female and was sitting having a conversation with one other person. I had a sudden onset of pain in my left arm and in my upper left side of my back (I might call this the back of my shoulder) along with a tingling sensation of the left side of my head. This lasted for about three minutes or so, and I have not had any more noticeable symptoms since. Thank you.
