What Causes Sudden Pain In The Chest And Jawline?

My husband gets sudden sharp cold poker like pain in center of chest between nipples and pain along jawline, sometimes one side, other times both sides. Doesn t effect breathing. Has to sit down. Slowly dissipates. Sometimes pain moves to right side under armpit. What is the cause??
