What Causes Sudden Pain In The Groin?

Yesterday I was stepping on a shovel at a weird angle to bust up a root in an old tree. Suddenly I felt a pain in my groin and stopped. Hurt a little but seemed OK for the evening. Today the pain was a little worse, but not horrible. Just realized the testicle on that side is maybe sore and possibly numb. It s hard to tell what s happening where. Someone told me they thought I had pinched a nerve, could taht explain the pain and numbness?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be due to conditions like epididymitis.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound scrotum.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
