What Causes Sudden Pain In Wrist Joints, Hands And Shoulders?

my wrist joints/hands and shoulders have all of a sudden started aching a lot. So much that it hurts to close my hands and bring my arms above my head. Sleeping at night has become restless to say the least. Have been taking Advil and Tylenol seems to help a little, but I find myself taking larger amounts to ease the pain. I was bitten by a tick in the early spring, it was taken off within a 24hr period, no bulls-eye but a small red blotch for a few weeks from the bite. My doc looked at it and said I should be fine as I don t have any symptoms at the time, this was in June. Not sure now if this has anything to do with what is going on now.

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello,

In my opinion, I think these symptoms might be related to the bite itself. The muscles pain is strongly related to that. I suggest you to be seen by your doctor to look for muscles problems such as Guillen Barre syndrome.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
