What Causes Sudden Purpling Of The Finger Excluding The Tip?

I'm a little alarmed that my finger has turned purple but not at the tip, it started yesterday and I thought it was a bruise but here was no pain on touching, it reduced overnight, then this evening I noticed it was back and worse.
I just read about the non ischemic blue finger online, which It may be and it said it was harmless and only ischemic if the tip is purple too. do you have any thoughts on what this might be, I was going to pop to the surgery in the morn but dont want to waste doctor time unessesarily?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM'
I can understand your problem, this could be nonspecific type of complain because it is just limited to one finger only so this is just nothing to worry you have to just wait and watch, right now no need to take any medicine allergic condition can be taken into consideration any way this will go away with the time, take care and have nice day.
