Welcome to Health Care Magic!
I have understood your problem.
Basically please understand that there are two modes due to which the blood sugar level rises.
Insulin is needed by our tissues to utilize the sugar in the blood.
If the Insulin is produced low, naturally, the tissues cannot utilize the sugar available in the blood. This is first mode.
The other one is that insulin may be in whatever quantity in blood, the tissues do not sense it and hence cannot utilize the sugar from the blood.
The medicines therefore used in Diabetes mellitus are:
1. Insulin
2. Secretogogues: Medicines which can stimulate the cells in the Pancreas to secrete Insulin.
3. Sensitizers: Medicines which makes the tissues sensitive to Insulin.
You are receiving Glycomet SR tablets which are sensitizers. Probably your Insulin secretion is low and hence in spite of Glycomet your sugar levels are increasing. I feel you need medicines which will increase your Insulin levels - either Insulin itself or Secretogogues.
Please report to a Diabetologist and you will be prescribed the proper medicine for you.
Your sugar levels have as it is gone quite high. Please do not waste time and report to the concerned specialist ASAP.
I hope I have given you sufficient information to solve your query.
If you need further more information, you may ask me direct question.
