What Causes Sudden Rise In The Blood Sugar Level?

I am having blood sugar fasting 145 and pp 210. sugar i am having last 10 yrs, controlled by medicine Glumet 500mg -2 tablets a day and Glimepirade 1mg 1 tablet a day. My age is 63yrs and male.Infasting sugar was controlled below 125 but now shoot up. I do morning brisk walking for 50 mts. Pl suggest

Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

The sugar level you have mentioned are higher than normal. But you have mentioned only one sugar level. That could some times happen based on food taken that day or physical activity.

If that is more in more than two occasions, check HbA1c value which gives sugar value of last 3 months. If that is higher, then you need either increase of dose of present medication or addition of new drug to the present medication
discussing with treating doctor.
