Hello,
As per my clinical experience, the sudden
sharp pain in left side of abdomen with excess burping indicate gastric upset with much of the acid formation. This does not sound in concern with relapse of
kidney cancer. In my clinic, I do suggest:
- Small, frequent meals consumption at intervals
- Chew food thoroughly
- More liquids intake
- Manage to have regular bowel evacuations
- If needed take help of bulk forming laxative as bran or psyllium husk
-
Proton pump inhibitors as
Rabeprazole with sips of water on empty stomach
- Avoid smoking or alcohol if consuming
- Do not sleep for 2 hours after lunch or dinner
- Regular walking, aerobics
- Control of blood sugar,
cholesterol, body weight
Discuss the need of an ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis with or without upper GI endoscopy with your treating doc for further management guidelines.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
