General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
It seems to be a sprain following your sharp & sudden forceful movement.Still any injusy to muscles of wrist or rotator cough needs to be excluded.
A visit to orthopedic doctor &physical exam may clear it or he may advise imaging investigation if needful.
Till then take rest.Avoid painful movement. Apply ice pack of pain is ++, Take over the counter anti inflammatory drug like Ibuprofen. Please consult an Orthopedic doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
