What Causes Sudden Slurred Speech, Loss Of Memory And Hallucinations?

My daughter recently had an SLE flare. On Friday last week her speech became slurred, experienced much confusion and memory problems. She had one hallucination. This lasted from last Friday until Wed of the following week. I took her to the hospital Sunday and she was admitted. Her brain scan showed nothing. What happened to her?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is a good thing that her brain scan is normal. She is having neurological problems due to a single flare-up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi, General & Family Physician
