What Causes Sudden Stopping Of The Functioning Of The Brain?

When I was about 3/4 years old I bit an electrical wire. I saw a white light. And then I awoke to my mother run red lights to get me to the hospital. The next thing I remember is walking out of the hospital. I am 42 years old now. Sometimes I get very fuzzy.. In my head. I feel I now what to do but sometimes can't seems to get my brain to fuction. And I have woundered all my adult life. If there could be some side effects from what had happened when I was young?
