What Causes Sudden Swelling In The Arms And Writs?

I m concerned about my dads health he has had an episode with his left wrist swelling moving up his forearm and elbow this was over a period of 2-3 days he went to the Drs and they tried to drain elbow but nothing would come out. They did blood work to rule out rhumatoid arthritis/gout but blood work was inconclusive. They ended up puttin him on steroids which helped swelling went down and feeling better. Now the same thing is happening in his right wrist/arm which started yesterday about a week and half after the other arm. He seems to be in more pain and it looks more red to me. I m hoping he will go the Dr.s tomorrow

As per your history is concerned do a blood DC to ruled out lymph node involvement or not and secondly do a TWBC count to ruled out any infection ,if you have past reports then check it first.(thanks)
