What Causes Sudden Tightness In The Chest And Heart Palpitations?

i was swimming hard yesterday, on my sixth lap and felt a sudden tightening of the chest as if my heart was constricting. Slight pain around my chest only. Stopped and it went away after about 2-3 minutes. I think I my heart might have been producing an extra beat. Is this something I need to be worried about? My usual pulse is a low 45 beats per minute.

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. You are a healthy athlete. Your low heart rate explains that. The pain could be due to over exertion. Still to confirm and for peace of mind, I suggest consultation with a cardiologist for an EKG and further advise.

If you still need my assistance in this regard, please use this link. http://goo.gl/aYW2pR. Please remember to describe the whole problem with full detail.
