What Causes Sudden Vision Loss With Headaches?

My husband is a 59 year old, high blood pressure controlled by meds, last night had a sudden loss of vision, was very dizzy, could not walk without falling, severe headache. He told me later this has happened before and he always gets his vision back. He has had continual problems with vision for quite a while--uses reading glasses, but last night I was concerned about a possible stroke.

Get his eye examined. Specialty fundus for detecting central retinal artery occlusion or central venous thrombosis. In stroke not only eye but other part of body will be involved. Already he had a low vision. so condition of macula is also to be seen
