General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Side effects of lipitor are muscle spasm, musculoskeletal pain and myalgia. Not all but some patients do experience these symptoms. However, if your develop muscle pain, weakness, unusual tiredness or tenderness you should report to your treating doctor. The dose of the medicine prescribed needs to be monitored. Your treating doctor will either replace the medicine with some drug that suits you better or may reduce the dose.

Get clinically assessed and get a follow up clinical examination done. Stay away from stress, do not unnecessarily strain yourself. Avoid addictions if any and take adequate rest. You can take multi vitamin supplements and acetaminophen, one SOS when pain or discomfort. Get Nerve conduction tests and nerve biopsy if required done to rule out any developing neurological problems. Stay well hydrated and avoid sedentary lifestyle.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
