What Causes Swallowing Difficulties While Eating In Elderly?

My mother who is 85 came home from the hospital....her swallowing ability is almost gone and she can t get a feeding tube because of her frailness...She can talk to us and has not complained of any nausea...however the home health gave her two of these patches..one behind each ear...Is this safe?

I really appreciate your concern, if she is on feeding tube then condition may not call normal one, you have not mentioned what disease she has and what patch is has been put on if this is for pain then it may be needed for her, hope this information may helps you, take care and have a nice day.
