What Causes Sweating And Feel Really Hot During Periods?
I am a 62 year female with HBP, diabetes, and gastroparesis (I have a gastric stimulator). I am having periods of time each day that I get really, really hot and sweat just pours off of me. When this happens I check my blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen level and sugar. They are all within normal limits. I am having to keep the AC really and I still sweat. What could be causing this?? Thank you.
Hello, If these are transient episodes of hot sweats, they could be considered to be the menopausal hot flushes which are continuing, since the other parameters are normal. You can get a proper evaluation by a specialist and also get a complete hormone profile to help with the diagnosis. If the experience is really bad and hormones are at deficit, supplements are given for sometime to ease out the situation. However, it is always better to rely on natural methods like breathing exercises, wearing well-ventilated cotton clothing, trying to avoid stress through meditation sessions and keeping in a comfortable atmosphere. Hope this helps.
