What Causes Sweating In The Feet?

Myhusband has copd for years and is on oxygen for 11 years already. Yesterday his feet started sweating and getting his socks wet. Actually it started the day before. I thought it was from me washing him up and getting them wet. Yesterday it happened again. I left his socks off and put a pad under his feet and that is now wet. I cannot contact his doctor until morning and we have an appointment on wednesday. What causes this? His sister yesterday said she has seen this before in Fl she take care of old people... cookiekre

Hi.
As per your case history your husband is having planter hyperhidrosis.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't worry. It is not a major disorder. It can cause seasonal symptoms.
2. Avoid taking spicy foods and excessive salty diet.
3. Apply an antiperspirant lotion like aluminum chloride lotion daily once at night.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.
