What Causes Sweating, Shaking And Dizziness In Diabetic When Hungry?

I was recently told that I had diabetes -blood sugar was at 14.4 and I was put on Duotrol. Of late however, I start sweating, shaking and I get dizzy to indicate that I am hungry. Then after I eat I get a terrible headache that does not go away until I sleep. My sugar is at 10.4 now and I take the duotrol in the morning and half a tablet before supper. I am 27. Should I worry?

Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear sir i can understand your concern
in my opinion the medication what you are taking Duotrol is not good for you.
Since duotrol contains a medication called as glibenclamide
This medicine Glibenclamide is a very powerful stimulant of pancreas and it will drain all the insulin from pancreas and very soon the pancreas will become exhausted.this is called secondary failure of pancreas.

The problem what you are facing is due to this excess draining of insulin only.
i suggest you to consider new medications like sitagliptin and vildagliptin
this medications will help in protecting pancreas and pancreas will last longer
