What Causes Sweaty Hands And Forehead In An Infant?

Good morning. Please help. I have a 19 months old baby girl. She will occasionally crossed her legs, tensed and she will have sweaty hands and forehead. Sometimes after doing this, her head is very hot. she normally find something to hold on to while doing this which will time roughly 2 minutes. I visited her Pediatrician and nothing has been helping. but after some stools and urine tests he said he found some bacteria on her urine but there is nothing to worry about. he recommended Alka Fizz of which is finished now but her condition is still the same. Kindly help. I am so frustrated because some people are telling me that she might be crippled or has epilepsy.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The metabolic rate of an infant is much higher and so it is very normal to have sweaty hands or forehead. Nothing needs to be done about it.

Hope I have answered your query.
