What Causes Sweet Smelling Blood During Menstruation?

Hi,
I just started my menstrual cycle a few hours ago and realized my blood has a very sweet smell to it right now instead of the normal blood smell. i have heard that people who have fruity and sweet smelling breath could be caused by a medical problem, i am now worried this means I have a medical problem. Could this mean i have diabetes?
