What Causes Swelling Above The Rib Cage?

Hi , a couple of months ago I had I had a small area swell , it was my top upper rib aea on my left side , swelled about the size of my fist then went away , over the 2 months the area of swelling has increased in size , sometimes my whole left side , then goes away , it s gotten so swollen that it feels like my rib cage is in a vise , no pain jus very uncomfortable , I m a 60 year old female

I do understand your concern

“As” per your clinical history is concerned to complete blood count with differential to rule out lymph node involvement and take medication accordingly.
