What Causes Swelling Along With Soreness On The Arm?

I have two swollen and sore areas on the back of my arm. They look like possibly an insect bite however they do not itch. I am currently going through chemo treatments and just want to make sure everything is ok. The places are sore to touch and feel like a bruise. Should I call my oncologist?

Hello,

Swelling and soreness on back of forearm could be soft tissue swelling due to trauma.

Since you are undergoing chemotherapy simultaneously, the swelling needs to be examined to rule out any complication of chemotherapy.

I suggest you consult your treating oncologist for clinical assessment and thus management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
