What Causes Swelling And A Large Bruise On The Sides Of The Foot?

My daughter has a large bruised, swollen place on the side of her foot. She hasn t had any kind of injury to the foot and it showed up last night but, today it has gotten worse. We are trying to decide if it is a blood clot and if she needs to go to the emergency.

it can be any thing like thromboflabitis or allergy. can not be confirmed without examination of doctor. apply cold compression an check your shoe. if any point of friction then there should be padding hygiene and sanitation
