What Causes Swelling And A Sore On The Vulva?

I started having extreme itching and burning on the right side of my clit on Monday. On Tuesday I noticed the right vulva lip was swollen up about 3 times it's normal size. I treated it with monistat 3 and it helped the itching and burning now the swelling is still there just as bad, and there is a small sore. My husband said it look like it was scraped on something like if you scraped your knuckle on something. I haven't been with anyone else other than my husband in almost 2 years and neither has he. It hasn't hurt while peeing. I noticed a discharge really sticky almost like a melted marshmallow only it was pinkish at first and then clear. I haven't seen this discharge since.
