What Causes Swelling And Burning Sensation In The Vagina?
hello, I had diathermy trigone (spelling) my vagina has been swollen and burning for over 2 months. after the procedure, it settled for about 12 hours then symptoms have come back. the surgeon has been rushing me and not really giving me the post treatment I want. he thinks its still the healing process. its been over 3 weeks. it has not settled. do you think that I need to have this done again?
This is usually self-limiting and may not indicate any disorder, however, in some cases, urinary or std may be present if this last for more days.
I will suggest you keep the private parts clean and dry. Use of Lactic acid containing vaginal wash at Bath time is advisable. Use of Condom, over the period of the next 2 weeks while having sexual activity is advisable.
STD tests are done then in case of positivity you can have a week-long course of Doxycycline and antifungal agents like Fluconazole.
