What Causes Swelling And Burning Sensation In Vagina After Using Hair Removal Cream?
I used a hair removal called VEET on my private area but it s not specified to that area and I have used it there before 3 or 4 times and nothing had happened. I don t know if I left it on there more than the maximum time which is 6 minuets but my vagina wall (left side) is a little swollen and has a burning sensation when it s touched
General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
Using hair removal cream on the genital area can cause irritation and inflammation, particularly if left on for too long. The burning sensation and swelling you are experiencing may be a result of this. It is important to avoid using hair removal cream on sensitive areas such as the genital region, as it can cause damage to the delicate skin and mucous membranes. To relieve the symptoms, you can try applying a cool compress to the area and avoid further irritation. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it is recommended to seek medical attention.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
