What Causes Swelling And Discomfort In The Vaginal Area?

Since yesterday I began to have some discomfort in my vagina area. I woke up today with a very swollen clitoris. It s is not really painful but painfully uncomfortable. I think as the day has gone by my whole vagina has begun to swell. What can I do to get the swelling go down? What could have caused this.

i understand your query.
swelling of vagina can be due to trauma/ irritation,allergy, infection( bacterial/fungal)
Treatment is given after determining causative agent after local examination, vaginal swab testing.
- A vigorous sex can have vaginal swelling due to trauma & inflmation of the part.- merely anti inflammatory drugs along with maintenance of local hygiene helps.
- Infection due to bactria -STD- after sex. is associated with excessive vaginal discharge & burning in urination-vaginal swag, certain blood tests, followed by suitable antibiotic treatment of both sex partners is needful
Fungal infection is also with white discharge, itching, swelling, burning in urine.
- allergy to soap, hair removers, some3 oral medications, has swelling / itching. Needs Betamethasone ointment, anti allergic pills along with withdrawal of allergen.
