What Causes Swelling And Hardening Of Lymph Node?

Six months ago I burst both eardrums and had a high fever of 104. I was put on anitbiotics. About seven months ago I had regular check-up and bolldwork-all was normal. I have had a very swollen gland behind my ear for at leat six months. It hard and over and inch long. It hasnt changed at all. I had tubes in my ears and tonsil removed as a child. I'm going to see a doctor tomorrow but I;m worried about lymphoma....did I wait too long to take care of this?

Hello

Thank you for trusting HCM

Dear you may be suffering from middle ear infection which may cause post auricular lymphadenopathy. But you have to rule out other possibilities causes for lymphadenopathy like Tuberculosis, ear nose throat infection, lymphoma, scalp infection etc.. Please consult your Ent surgeon he will examine and treat you accordingly. You may need lymph nodes biopsy. I think I answered to your question if you have more questions please feel free to ask me.

Take care
