What Causes Swelling And Inflammation In The Vocal Cords?

I havevbeen having voice and vocal issues. I feel like some words are slightly slurred. My voice sounds deeper and sometimes raspy or hoarse. It feels like my vocal cords tighten or vibrate sometimes when trying to speak. This has been happening for about 2-3 months. Slowly progressing. An ENT put a scope down my vocal cords and saw no nodules but they were a little red and slightly swollen. I am concerned very concerned

Causes of laryngitis may be due to:
1.Viral infections.
2.Inhaled irritants, such as chemical fumes, allergens or smoke.
3.Acid reflux, also called gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
4.Chronic sinusitis.
5.Excessive alcohol use.
6.Habitual overuse of your voice (such as with singers or cheerleaders)
7.Smoking.

Please identify yourself for the cause of risk factors and avoid it .If symptoms not improved please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
