What Causes Swelling And Inflammation On The Right Eyelid?

I was seen in the ER two days ago for my right eye which is very swollen and red on my top eyelid...At first it was my left eye, then it was my right eye...during my ER visit I had blood work which showed I was Vitamin B-12 and B-9 was deficient. All other labs were very good..was prescribed Keflex 500mg q-6 hours. I am feeling worse and my eye is swelling more and I have a very terrible headache since my eye problem....I have tried warm compresses for a few days now without any relief in pain or swelling along with the antibiotics. I have been seen by an eye doctor (OD), who was not sure after an elaborate exam what the problem was...so thats when I went to the ER.

Hello,

Vitamin B12 and B9 are not responsible. For present problem get examined by eye doctor and get locally examined in your case it can be Chalazion, which requires minor surgery and the content to be scooped out. Take specific treatment after examination by eye doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
