What Causes Swelling And Itchiness On The Ears After Wearing Silicone Plugs?

Hello. I have a problem with my stretched ears. after more than a year of wearing plugs both of my ears, one more than the other, started to swell, are itchy and leaking colorless puss. the areas around my plug are also itchy, including the skin behind my ear. i m wondering if it s an ear infection or if it s just the material. the material used when the swelling occured was sillicone, my previous experiences with sillicone were fine.

Hello
Welcome to healthcare
I doubt that it is allergic
I think continuous use of plugs would have supported fungal infection. Try clotimazole ear drops thrice daily.
You should remover the plugs at night, wash it dry it and keep in some anti infective solution or clean it with alcohol based solution and wipe nicely before using
If any other symptoms are present which you have forgotten, we can discuss that
