What Causes Swelling And Left Sided Pain In The The Roof Of The Mouth?
I have swelling and tenderness and pain in the left side of roof of mouth! It pulses to the beat of my heart at times with pain! My back tooth on the left upper side is sensitive as well! What could this be? Dentist did an x ray on that tooth and said it looked ok!
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain swelling, tenderness and pain on the roof of the mouth along with pain in a tooth can be due to deep infection in tooth and if x Ray has come to be Ok then at times there is a possibility that due to overlapping the x ray is not diagnostic and you should get another x ray done with different angulation to re-check for tooth infection.. In case of there is tooth infection leading to pus formation below the root tips of the tooth then Root Canal treatment of tooth followed by antibiotics and painkillers can help.. As of now you can take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen and do warm saline gargles.
Hope this helps..
Regards..
