What Causes Swelling And Muscle Spasms In The Legs While On Pristiq?

i am on a maintenance of Pristiq 100mg a day, after being prescribed adipex 37.5mg & taking it for 4 days i started experiencing swelling in both legs, then stopped on 4th day after reading the side effects on web-md & pharmacy instruction page, then started experiencing muscle spasms & cramping only in left leg. doctor told me to drink gatorade. swelling is down but spasms & cramping still occurring. what could this be???

Hi,

So far as symptoms narrated here, the muscle spasms are residual effect of drug side effect which has made imbalance in the muscle fiber homeostasis. Can be managed with plenty of liquids, analgesic, heating pad application, rest, correction of any electrolyte imbalance.
