Hi

Well numbness can be due to injury to the terminal nerve endings and inflammation caused due to the bite that releases toxic chemical inside the skin. But it is temporary and get resolved as the effect of the sting gets lighter. So my suggestion is do alternate warm and cool compresses over it. Apply Triamcinolone Acetonide over it. Gradually the numbness will begin to subside. In case if there is no improvement consult an Emergency doctor and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
