What Causes Swelling And Numbness In The Hand?

I have a history of neck problems. i had a c2 fracture and c5-6 herniation corrected 3 years ago. I also have had rotator cuff surgery on the right side. I am now experiencing hand swelling, numbness in fingers and palm on the right hand. What could be happening now?
