What Causes Swelling And Oozing Of Pus From The Scar After The Post Operation?

I am about 6 weeks post op. and i had internal stitches, however one was coming out. my therapist said to let it alone, so i did until now. the stitch is no longer visible, but the scar is starting to swell and there is a pus and fluid built up in my scar. is this normal?

hello and thank you for asking HCM,

I understand your concern and my suggestion is to visit your GP or your doctor who performed the operation as soon as possible because the condition of your scar needs treatment. Your wound get infected and there is a possibility that without treatment the infection spreads.
So visit a doctor as soon as possible. Until then cover the wound with sterile bandage.
