What Causes Swelling And Pain After Lipoma Surgery Of Knee?

I had a lipoma behind my left knee 5 years ago, and the surgery took 5 hours because it had wrapped around tendons,veins, etc. Now, I have swelling and pain behind the right knee. I had an US to make sure it wasn't a bakers cyst, and it was not. Dr. wants to order a MRI now.
