What Causes Swelling And Pain In Knee After A Long Jump?
I had a special Olympics competition last weekend and on Friday I had to do the standing long jump and the mat was all wet and muddy and I jumped and slipped and got up like nothing happened. My knee didn t hurt the rest of the weekend and then on Tuesday I played a softball game and my knee was fine. Came home went to sleep and then my knee was swollen the next morning when I woke up and I went to an urgent care center and they gave me a knee brace and said I could have a meniscus tear and told me I have to see an orthopedic doctor. Then yesterday after school I had a temperature of 102.5 and I took 2 ibuprofen before I went to bed. Woke up this morning and my temperature went down to 97.6. My knee is still a little swollen and still hurts to bend and straighten it. this is the second time it s happened but not as swollen as this time. Wat should I do?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, in joint is very fragile joint and easily hurt or damage, looking to the history given here it may be infection (Abscess of knee joint) here you better to get done the imaging study and best would be CT imaging and also have orthopedic opinion and it may not be neglected, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
