What Causes Swelling And Pain In Legs Of A Cancer Patient?

I have gone through chemo and radiation for squamous cell carcinoma of anal skin. Started treatments last of February and ended mid April. For past 2 weeks my left knee has been hurting real bad and my a feet, ankles and calves of both legs are swollen. Even if I try to keep them elevated, they still swell up. Hurts to bend my ankles and toes. I have stopped all salt, I drink water all the time. I have seen radiation oncologist and he wasn t too concerned. I am wondering if the chemo/radiation could have affected my kidneys or bladder. My urine is darker than normal. Could it be the problem?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is the knee symptom if the joint pain is there then it may not be due to the malignant condition neither it is due to radiation therapy or chemotherapy, but it could be due arthritis changes and it need to be tested, urine color is not direct indication of any disease there should be some associated symptom to confirm it, but it may not be due to chemo or radio therapy hope this information helps.
